Tournament / League weekend recap March 13th -14th

RBFC Mallorca Boys 2009:
The boys were tested this week and played higher level teams. It took them until the second half to wake up to the intensity and level of play of the other teams but managed to stay competitive in the first two games. Injuries and last minute changes caused us to have 1 less player for the last game and that made it tough, but the boys fought until the end and gave 100% effort which I commend. There is a lot of room for improvement and we will continue to work hard in order to reach our potential this week.

Players of the weekend: Taten Sheriff , Mateo Bogner

RBFC Everton 2008 Boys:
Results - 2 Wins, 1 LossPoints of emphasis in training leading up to the tournament was building from the back and defensive team shape. The boys were able to implement both of these points in each game of the tournament. There were moments when the team was able to break the lines of the defense starting from our own defensive third and play into the attacking third. They were able to connect 10+ passess in a row, switching the play and advancing the ball to create scoring chances. Defensively, they did a pretty good job of keeping compact, and moving as a unit. Only conceding 3 goals for the tournament.

Players of the Tournament - Teddy Conti, Nooredden Kawaf

RBFC Malaga 2010 Boys :
Malaga tournament recap: it was a sloppy start in the first game yesterday, we ended up taking an own goal which sparked the boys . We struggled with ball movement but as the game progressed, the boys picked it up . Thanks to Geoffrey Wilmot and Jacob liberman for providing the confident boost with goal scoring . We won all the games. Overall the boys were good but not invincible. More work to be done and we will be on it .

RBFC Raptors 2008 Girls :
The girls played 2 games with 1 win and 1 tie. Overall they played very well but it took them a little to wake up since they haven't played 11v11 in a long time. But they passed the ball well and constantly attacked with through balls and 1v1s on the outside. Caroline and Marie were the MVPs providing most of the through balls and crosses. The biggest thing we need to improve on is defensive shape and organization.
