Columbus Weekend Tournament Recap

This weekend was a fantastic experience for all of our RBFC teams, and we want to acknowledge not only the players but also the incredible support of all the parents who made this weekend so special!

  • 2016/2017 Boys: In their first-ever tournament, the boys showed incredible promise, finishing with 2 wins, 1 tie, and a narrow loss in the finals. We couldn't be prouder of their effort and spirit!

  • 2015s Boys (Flamengo and Santos): Both teams impressed, each securing 2 wins and 1 loss. Their development as teams is clear, and their performances on the field were outstanding.

  • 2014s Boys: Similarly, both of our 2014 teams put on a strong display, with each group finishing with 2 wins and 1 loss. The teamwork and hustle they showed on the pitch were inspiring.

  • 2013s Boys : Our newly formed 2013 team also did remarkably well, ending the tournament with 2 wins and 1 loss. For a new group, this was an exceptional experience, and we’re excited to see how they grow.

  • 2012s Boys: The 2012s made an incredible run, going undefeated with 3 wins and 1 tie until the finals, where they faced heartbreak in a penalty shootout. Despite the loss, they should be immensely proud of their journey.

  • 2015s Girls (Sky Red): The Sky Red girls continue to build chemistry, securing 2 wins and 1 loss. The team is coming together beautifully!

  • 2010 Boys: After a dramatic semifinal win in a penalty shootout, the 2010 boys advanced to the finals, ultimately falling short. Nonetheless, their perseverance and refusal to give up made it an unforgettable tournament experience.

A big thank you goes out to all the parents for their unwavering support throughout the tournament. This first event of the year has been a huge success, and we look forward to resuming practices and continuing our league games in the NECSL.
